Most web designers worth their salt know the phrase web design is a laughably broad term. Designing for the web entails understanding interaction design, information architecture, usability, accessibility, as well as having an excellent feel for visual design. While their situation isn’t perfect, it’s an impressive story of unity, balance, and communication that makes the few imperfections of the site that much more interesting.
Usability testing should be an iterative practice, completed several times during the design and development life-cycle. The end result is an improved product and a better understanding of the users that we’re designing for.
